At the beginning of my talks, I suggest to the audience, “Raise your hand if you’d rather NOT FEEL GOOD during the day.” No one raises his or her hand. We all want to feel good during the day. The problem is that some of us don’t know how to go about it. We read books about Happiness, we watch YouTube videos, we listen to podcasts, but for some reason, things are very slow to change, if they change at all.
“52 Weeks of Simple Happiness” takes a different approach. The book is broken down into 52 weekly topics. Each chapter covers one theme. Instead of simply reading about the theme, you are given assignments to put the message into practice. My belief is that real change can occur more rapidly if you experience the good feelings resulting from actually doing what you are reading about.
This is your opportunity to begin to live a happier more joyful life or to accelerate that process which may already be underway. My bet is that you will enjoy your daily and weekly growth as you complete each assignment.
A question that I often ask of my audiences is “What kind of life do you want for yourself?” You have in your hand a clear outline to guide you on your way to that life.
