Cydney Bittner was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a child she constantly found joy and comfort in fantasy media. Inspired by the fantasy artists and illustrators whose work she loved growing up, she is motivated to create work that brings that same excitement to children (and grown-up children) as her heroes’ work brought her. This motivation took her to New York, where she received a B.A. in Studio Art and Illustration & Animation from Marymount Manhattan College. In her experience as an art instructor, she has seen firsthand the importance of imagination; she strives to create art that nurtures that critical part of the human psyche.
